Mary Ellen's deep understanding of the public sector allows her to provide strategic advice tailored to the unique needs of municipalities.

Throughout her career, Mary Ellen has held key positions, including an 18-year tenure as the City Solicitor for Mississauga. In this role, she guided the city through significant urban development projects, governance initiatives, and legal challenges, fostering a reputation for professionalism and integrity. Her contributions were recognized in 2019 when she received the Ontario Bar Association's Award of Excellence in Municipal Law, among other honors throughout her career.

Now, through her practice at Bench Municipal Law + Governance, Mary Ellen offers municipalities expertise in upholding high standards of governance, transparency, and accountability.
